As a customer of Solar Electric Texas, your solar panel system comes with the ability to monitor your power production from anywhere. This monitoring program, through SolarEdge, lets you see the production of your panel system down to the individual panel. This is especially useful in diagnosing any suspected problems, and making sure that your solar panel system in producing as much power as it should be.

This information is sent from your inverter to the SolarEdge servers via a wireless connection much like a cell phone. The data plan for this service is provided by Solar Electric Texas for the first 5 years at no charge. After 5 years you have the option to extend the plan at an applicable, reasonable rate.

Our local monitoring team receives alerts through the SolarEdge portal if your panel system is non-functional. This helps us catch some problems prematurely, but we can not always diagnose or troubleshoot a solar panel system based on this information alone. Every customer is provided a monitoring log in when we install a solar panel system, and it is the customer's responsibility to monitor production and let us know if there are any issues. We are not responsible for a loss in power production due to system malfunctions that are not reported.
