With the government subsidy and the tax break, I should break even in a few years and then after that all the discounts on my electric bill (average about $100 a month) will accrue to me. Solar Electric was very helpful with the process and if solar panels will not work for you due to shading on your roof or where it faces (south is best I believe), then they will not try to sell you on the solution.
